Over Boulder Mountain to Hanksville and the San Rafael Swell, 10/16/03
From Red Canyon, we drove east over Boulder Mountain to Hanksville, UT. I fell in love with Boulder Mountain the first time I drove over it, 25 years ago. It is 11,000 feet high, and has unbelievable views down into the Escalante Wilderness to the south and into Capital Reef National Park to the east.
