Slick Rock Lollipop

in the Granite Domes above the 50 year trail

9/21/02

We had a beautiful day, although it got warm before we finished. We rode for almost five hours, and finished just as we were running out of water. The wildflowers were incredible after the rains. It looked like Spring instead of the end of the summer. We were plagued with flats, but that is not surprising in that terrain. The ride up the 50 year trail is steep and difficult as usual. Then we turned up the Deer Camp Trail, and later into the domes. The riding was no longer steep, but fairly technical because of the torturous nature of the trail, well illustrated by the photos.
