Road Trip to Brian Head, Utah,
over the July 4th weekend, 2002.
Five SAMBA members traveled to Brian Head, Utah, in search of cool weather, over the July 4th weekend of 2002. Indeed, the weather was beautiful, but one thing was lacking -- oxygen. The town is at 9600 feet, and the rides went up to 11,000 feet. Fortunately, they were mostly downhill (requiring a shuttle, but well worth the $12 a shuttle ride cost). These pictures are on the Bunker Hill trail, the Dark Hollow trail, and the Virgin River Rim trail. The latter was 20 miles south of Brian Head.
