Black and Tan, 4/24/04

The Black and Tan trail is on Black Mountain, north of the 24 hour race course, north of Tucson. It goes up Brown Canyon to the top of Black mountain, rides along the ridgeline, and then descends back to the desert. The ride was 18 miles long, with 2000 feet of climbing. The weather was beautiful, about 75 degrees (very mild for this time of year), and the hillsides were covered with the purple blooms of the hedgehog cacti.
