First of all, we would like to thank John Pollock, professor, author and mountain biker extraodinaire, for his role as SAMBA's leader, promoter, webmaster, coordinator and public face for many years! . We miss his cheerful presence on our rides!
We are now re-organizing SAMBA as a collective of dedicated members. We hope to keep to our primary objective ofpromoting the enjoyment of nature through mountain biking.

ABOUT OUR RIDES:
To arrange for car pooling, most of our rides leave from Himmel Park, one block south of Speedway, between Tucson Blvd. and Country Club, NE area of the parking lot.
Most of our rides would fall into the moderate / intermediate category, unless otherwise listed. Our rides generally last about three to four hours, with a fair amount of stopping to regroup. Beginners with good stamina should do fine. If you have questions, please contact the ride leader, or one of the contacts above.
We do try to gear the pace of each ride to the ability of the group. We stop to regroup atintersections and along the route to keep the group together. This makes for alonger ride than it would usually take, but we don't want to leave anyone out in the desert for the buzzards!
Please make sure you and your bike are prepared for the ride: bring plenty of water, snacks, extra tubes, sunscreen, helmet, tools, etc.
